Telugu film Dhruva is an official remake of Tamil film Thani Oruvan. Ram Charan and Rakul Preet Singh did the main lead roles and Arvind Swamy will be seen in very important role. Surender Reddy directed this Action thriller film under Geetha Arts banner. Movie is released on 9th December, 2016.
Dhruva (Ram Charan) is an intelligent police officer role. He also think to catch a big fish rather than catching small time thief. He also think that a small crime incident is just a part of plan for bigger crime and only a business man will be behind this master-plan for his business development.
Padma Shree Siddharth Abhimanyu (Arvind Swamy) is a popular scientist in India and Dhruva target him as he is behind many crimes. How our Dhruva IPS deals with master mind Siddharth Abhimanyu is rest of the story.
Mega Power Star Ram Charan has kept lot of hard-work to deliver this role. He carried whole film on his shoulder and delivered a master-piece. His make-over, body-building, performance and perfect emotions has given life to his character. Compared to his previous films, this film is best in his career (Apart from Magadheera). He perfectly toned in Dhruva's role.
Arvind Swamy is biggest highlight in this film. He is the show-stealer. If Ram Charan has given life to this film, Arvind Swamy has taken this film to next level. More or less, he is the hero in Second Half.
Rakul Preet Singh is gorgeous on screen. She didn't got much space to perform but given her best.
Posani Krishna Murali character is hilarious and he should get big round of applause for his typical acting style. Audiences are laughing and shouting while Posani Krishna Murali was on screen.
After a long time, Navadeep got very good role in this film. He got a meaty role and he did with ease. Nassar, Shayaji Shinde, Ravi Prakash and others did as required.
Coming to Technicians, Hip-Hop Tamizha's music is one of the highlight in the film, the signature background score between the Protagonist and antagonist will give you goose bumps. Songs are not required for this film but still, they are good on screen. Dubbing of this film is in sync with the film, Ram Charan's voice is very powerful and Arvind Swamy's dubbing is stunning and cunning. Cinematography by PS Vinod is another gripping element in this film. Cinematography, background visuals and Hip-hop's background score all together will give you a visual treat. Dialogues are very strong and will give you edge-of-the-seat experience. Though it's a Tamil remake, it well suited for Telugu nativity. Direction by Surender Reddy is perfect.
Dhruva is completely a mind game film. More or less, If we miss 10 minutes of the film, it will be difficult to understand what is happening next. The Script is very gripping but it is too lengthy which will test your patience. Being a mind-game film, Mass-audience may not understand the film.
But one thing, The story-writer has kept his heart and soul to write this subject. Story of this film is very gripping with many goose-bump moments. Ram Charan's energetic performance and Arvind Swamy's cunning performance will entertain you for sure. 'Ethuku pai ethu' scenes between hero and villain will keep you entertaining.
Overall, Dhruva is a Regular commercial film with fresh story telling. One time watchable film.
