Dancer turned Actor turned Director Raghava Lawrence is quite popular for his horror flicks. His first horror flick 'Munni' is super blockbuster in both Telugu and Tamil. His later installments, Muni-2 and Muni-3 were also super hit. Now his 4th Horror flick 'Siva Linga' (Not Directed) is released today (14th April, 2017) in Both Telugu and Tamil. It's a official remake of Kannada film with same title. P.Vasu directed this Crime Comedy Horror flick and Raghava Lawrence rendered title role. Ritika Singh, a real kick boxer who lured Telugu, Tamil and Hindi audiences with her outstanding performance in Guru, Irudhi Suttru and Saala Khadoos respectively, has done female lead role in this film. Director P. Vasu's Son, Sakthi Vasu will be seen in very important role.
In the very beginning of the film, Raheem (Sakthi Vasu), a biryani cook, gets killed by a blind man in a moving train. Due to lack of clues and evidence, the case become unsolvable.
The police department assign the case to CBCID and our hero Sivalingeswar (Raghava Lawrence) handles the case.
While Investigating the case, His wife Sathyabhama (Ritika Singh) will be possessed by a Evil Spirit. How he chase the case and how he save his wife from evil spirit is remaining story.
Raghava Lawrence character is very similar to his previous films Muni, Muni2 and Muni3. He is scared of ghosts and evil spirits. This time, he will be seen as a CBCID officer and he fit the bill. His role got many twists and turns. Raghava Lawrence will fully entertain you in climax scene.
This is first commercial film for Ritika Singh. Though she is a real kick boxer, she portrayed her role with ease. She even tried to match her dance moments with one of the talented dancer, Raghava Lawrence. Her performance in evil getup is outstanding and she should be given big round of applause for her terrific performance.
Sakthi Vasu performance is another highlight in this film. He is the showstopper and he got immense talent. His character and performance has taken this film to next level.
Vadivelu Comedy is just OK, Brahmanandam voice suits his body language. Tamil actress Urvashi character is funny. Yesteryear heroine, Bhanu Priya has did mother role in this film. Pradeep Rawat did Baba's role and he is out standing. Others did as required.
Coming to technicians, SS Thaman's music is major asset in this film. The background score will give required tempo for the film. The scary movements will give edge-of-the-seat experience. Cinematography by Sarvesh Murari is another highlight in this film. The scary moments are simply superb. The story of the film is routine but screenplay treatment and climax episode is simply WOW. If we judge the film in parts, then climax of the film should get full mark as it is very strong and gripping. Director P Vasu handled the script with amazing talent and he should be appreciated for delivering a master piece.
Siva Linga is as good as Muni and it's installments, in other words, we can say that it is far better film then Raghava Lawrence previous horror films.Very beginning episode of the film will give you required excitement. Interval bang is simply scary and whole second half is strong and gripping with many twists and turns. Audiences who love Horror flicks will like this film and audiences who like Lawrence mark horror flick will fall in love with this film. It's a out and out commercial entertainer and every mass audience will like this film to the core.
Overall, Siva Linga is a master piece and worth watching it. Every family member can watch this film.
