Vijay Antony is well known for 'Bichhagadu' film in Telugu industry. Once again he is coming with a emotional drama film 'Kaasi', Director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi has teamed up with Vijay Antony for the first time with 'Kaasi', which happens to be her second directorial. The first 7 minutes of the film that released on Youtube, created a certain amount of expectations. Has the expectation lived up? Let's talk about the movie.

Story:

Bharath(Vijay Anthony) is a well-established doctor in the US who comes to know that he is an adopted son and his roots are based in a small village called Kancharlapalem. Upset with this, he comes to the village and starts finding out about his past. After a point of time, he finds out about his mother but the whereabouts of his dad are left mysterious. Rest of the story is as to how Bharat finds out who his dad is and why he left him all alone in life.

Analysis:

A film like 'Kaasi', which questions ourselves on caste and region basis it is a good story line but very tough to tell. Director has totally disappointed the audience while narrating the story. The biggest problem in the movie is why director actually puts the close-up shots for all actor's in maximum frames of the film, which scared the audience very much. She should first get blamed for choosing this kind of story and Vijay Antony too gets bad remarks to act in this one. Director doesn't have any clarity over her story. Director itself written this story. The narration of the film is very naive as there are no gripping moments which keep the audience addicted on to the seats.

Vijay Antony is the only man who will entertain the audience for some extent and Anjali has a role which was not related to the story. She looks good in certain scenes and does her job well. Production values of the film are below average and as the visuals look clearly old-fashioned. The technology showcased is old-fashioned in the current scenario and this gives an out dated look to the film. Editing is okay and background score is so so. Dialogues are decent.

Plus points :

* Vijay Antony

* Story line

* Background Music.

Minus points :

* Lack of creativity.

* Narration of the story is bad.

* Direction failure in presenting.

* Bad visuals.

Final Point:

On the whole, Vijay Antony's 'Kaasi' is just an below average entertainer which is good only in bits and pieces. The first half is ok, energetic performances of Vijay Antony and Yogi babu are the major plus points. On the flip side, a slow paced second half and a flat climax spoil the film completely. Don't watch this film for Vijay Antony you will surely disappoints with his character in the film. Director has completely fails to utilize Vijay, watch this movie with zero expectations.
